Hey :p Nothing much new going on up here. Ricky's is underway right now (Wednesday-Saturday). Originally he was supposed to go up North to Rockland but because of the weather they are in Bath Me. Brian and Katie are keeping me company though. love them :0) I'm liking my new job. I'm upset it isn't originally what I wanted to do once I got here but hey... its money and it keeps me nice and preoccupied plus I get to be with cute little babies all day :) Katies friends are heading up this weekend and were planning on doing a girls night which will be lots of fun. Ricky's parents and sisters are also coming up too...Boys= up to camp :p! We're hoping we can head back to CT next weekend. Ricky bought a snowboard and finally got to go for the first time this season last weekend. He loooves snowboarding. But.....Its FINALLY starting to get warm"ER" up in Maine! It hit 50 today and I think I actually saw some grass! Last Sunday here was actually really nice. Cant wait for summer up here. Its so beautiful and there is so much to do. Soon there will be no more ice for Ricky to break and his boat wont go underway as much (yay)! In the summer his boat does a lot of aids and navigation (mapping). Well that's about as much of an update on us as we have for now. Sorry its not too interesting :p Love everyone and miss all too!

Hey All

One of our friends who recently moved started a blog to keep family and friends updated on their lives and we thought it would be a great idea to create one as well! Being so far away from home we wanted all of OUR friends and family to have the opportunity to see what's going on in our newly married-Coastguard lives! We will post whenever we have updates, probably about every month or so! So say tuned! :) xoxo

March!

As most of you know we just got married January 9th 2009. The wedding was a blast and everything we could've ever asked for. The honeymoon in Mexico was amazing! Weather could of been a little better (low 60s and cloudy everyday except the day we arrived and left) but it was still beautiful and wonderful to be there regardless! Once we got back we got our new apartment in Yarmouth Maine together and it is really is starting to feel like home! We get ALOT of snow here but there's a lot to do and we are looking forward to the summer so we can spend weekends up at camp and do more outdoor activities. Rickys been hard at work on the boat and just recently went under way in Rockland to break some ice. He got some great pics of the breaking and even got great shots of bald eagles. Ricky is working hard to become a BM3 and should be achieving that very soon! After that we could get re-stationed somewhere else any time but since we are finally feeling settled we are crossing our fingers that the detailer lets us stay til his tour here is done (March 2010) I (Meg) just got a full time job at a daycare two minutes up the road and am happier then ever! Not only will it be nice to have two incomes but I no longer have to sit around bored all day watching trash talk shows until Ricky gets home from work :) (although i have to admit I will miss my talk shows :p) The schedule is great too. Working four days a week- ten hour days and have Tuesdays off! We plan on coming home soon this month. Either the weekend of the 14th, or the weekend of the 21st! Ricky's parents and my parents have been up to visit and we had a great time with them! Also, Ricky's friends Keith and Kevin just recently came up for three days. It was great to see friends from home but was not so great cleaning up after three boys! jk!! We've made some great friends up here already! I've made great friends with some of the wives and we have been hanging out alot.(Both girls nights and nights where all the couples get together!) Its also great to have Ricky's sister Kate and Brian just a few seconds down the road! Well that's all for now! We will post more when we have more updates for you all. We miss everyone and cant wait to see everyone soon!
